Abstract
Host system parameters are settings to control what is being uploaded or downloaded to or from a Host system. For example, you may want to control if calendars are added or not during download into an existing schedule. The parameters are different for each host system, as well as for upload and download even if it relates to the same Host system.
Host system parameters have default values that are derived from the Host system. The values can be overwritten in the Configs. The values defined in the Config form the default values on the ILAP exchange agreements (IEAs) that are using this Config. Setup users have another possibility to overwrite these Host system parameters in individual IEAs.
Opening the Host system parameters
The Host system parameters can be opened on an IEA or in a Config. This means that regular users can view Host system parameters (on the IEA), but only Setup users can edit them (on both the IEA and in the Config). Below, it is described how to open them in both cases. Host system parameters can also be defined while creating IEAs or while creating Configs. In those cases, the Host system parameters will be presented to you.
Host system parameters on an IEA
To view the Host system parameter on an IEA, first open the IEA. Navigate with the tabs under the IEA title and main info by clicking on “Host system parameters”. To edit them (Setup users only), click on the options button and select “Edit IEA”. It is also possible to first go into edit mode and after that, navigate to the “Host system parameters” tab.

Defining the Host system parameters
In most cases, Host system parameters consist of a number of fields that can either be turned on or off, or for which a selection can be made from a dropdown. The info icons will provide extra information about the Host system parameters. There are two exceptions, for more on these exceptions, see below.
An example of typical Host system parameters
Exception 1: SAP and receiving
This is a highly specialized screen for SAP download, that must be set up by an SAP expert. It allows for setting various user or system statuses in SAP depending on conditions in the data. Rows can be added with the “+ Add row” button above the table to the right. Selections can be made with dropdowns and Condition formula and Parameter can be typed or pasted. The order can be changed by dragging the drops up and down from the icon to the left-most in the row.

Exception 2: Safran and receiving
Apart from several options, this combination allows for setting an Import structure. This represents the ability to append values to existing Reference fields (R-Fields) in Safran during download, based on Lists (structures) that were specified in the upload step. Here you can specify which named uploaded list should be used to update (append only, no deletes) which R-Field.
